i watched the day after tomorrow and eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. day after tomorrow has superb effects but i thought the ending was pretty unrealistic. the storm stopped but the city was covered in ice. so what happens when the ice melts? isn't there going to be a flood? maybe there was a rush in fliming. eternal sunshine is indeed a profound movie. some parts were pretty confusing to me and i think i ought to watch again to see it in a better light. filming is not prosaic and it somehow reminds me of lomography. i think it is worth the four stars, though it took a while for me to actually realise what the film is about. if it were possible to erase parts of our memory, would we be taking over mother nature? eternal sunshine has a few elements of conditioning and a familiar scene from a clockwork orange. i should watch it again.
i know my brother would have enjoyed such a movie. he loved such films, of course, he loved movies. i want to watch every movie that you would have watched, and record its contents and plots in my mind as much as i can. so that when i meet you in due time, i can share with you what you never got to experience. everything i do and see reminds me of you. i don't know when we'll meet again, but i know one day we will. so till then, i'm keeping the memories we had with me. i miss you and don't you worry, i miss you in a happy happy way. you know what i mean. :)

mummy asked me today if i had any goals. i pondered for a little while before saying, 'get a rich man and marry.' and not surprisingly i was returned with a laugh. i told her i haven't carried out her instructions to start jogging at sixth avenue and visit classy restaurants where they serve goat's liver and caviar. my goal is to own a wardrobe where it never shrinks when i donate each piece that i've worn only once to charity. but of course, make the clothes designer. no worries about marrying an old foggie who's about to pass on soon. i'd get to inherit all his property then. mummy told me that i had to spend first in order to get more in return. indeed. humour indeed.
i forgot when life became so mundane. i forgot when i last lived a life. i forgot when life started to hold no more meaning.
